As of August 21, 2002, a vote was taken at the committee meeting for a replacement for the scoutmaster position. I, John Lander, have put in my resignation due to my recent injury. I am pleased to announce that Charles "Rabbit" Melvin is the new official scoutmaster for Troop 148. It is with great sadness that I have to step down and remain as assistant scoutmaster for the troop. But, I have also learned a lot and can use my resources that I have learned in order to help the boys of Troop 148. I feel confident "Rabbit" will be a great scoutmaster and I am asking everyone to give him the support you gave me. I have some great memories I will always treasure forever.
