Safety is a prime consideration in Scouting, as it is in many other activities. As
a service to the community we live in and serve, Troop 148 is pleased to bring you this web page,
where we will present safety-related information relevant to our Troop and the community, as well
as links to safety-related publications from other sources.
The "Guide to Safe Scouting" (link above) explains BSA's current policies and
procedures for ensuring that Scouting activities are conducted in a safe manner, based on over 80
years of experience. Much of what is presented here is also relevant to similar activities
conducted outside of the Scouting program.
