Troop 148 Carwash - 2 Aug
(from John "Bear" Lander, ASM Ways and Means)
The Troop 148 Troop Car Wash will be held on Saturday August 2nd at the Chick-Fil-A at the Greatwood location adjacent to Highway 59 and Grand Parkway. There will be a location set aside for us to wash many cars! The hours will be from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. This is a great location. Chick-Fil-A brings in lots of customers and I feel we will have a great day!
After the carwash, we can go over to help out with Jacob Wilson's Eagle project.

Troop 148 wins 2nd place at First Aid Meet
Congratulations to the scouts of Troop 148. Scouts from Troop 148 again this year took second place at the Tomahawk District First Aid Meet. Ten Troops competed, this year, in the First Aid Completion at the Sugar Creek Baptist Church LYF Center. Five scenarios were given each Troop at 20 points maximum per scenario. During each round the judges evaluated how the group assessed the conditions and responded in treating the victim. Troop 148 scored 79 out of 100 points. They were not far behind the first place team that was awarded 82 points.
Participants this year were Kevin C., Bijan G., Chris L., Alec M., Andrew M. and Andre T. Liz Largent represented the Troop as a First Aid Judge.
The Troop received a 2008 Trophy and the honor to represent the Tomahawk district at the Sam Houston Area Council First Aid Meet on February 16th.

Congratulations again Troop 148!
